Felt cherry care rules
- Do not plant felted cherries in the shade. She is a fairly light-loving plant, only sometimes it can endure partial shade. But the sun is more preferable for her.
- This type of cherry does not like high soil moisture. It is not necessary to place it in places with a high occurrence of groundwater; it is advisable to plant bushes on hills, and not in lowlands.
- When planting, keep in mind that it is advisable to have at least two plants for successful pollination, but felt cherry grows well at a density of one plant per 1.5 square meters. You can plant them in rows.
- When caring for felt cherries, do not forget to loosen, weed and fertilize with mineral fertilizers.
- Due to the fact that the felt cherry quickly begins to bear fruit, the gardener needs to form a powerful bush with strong central branches. Don't forget to shape the bush!
- And, of course, do not forget to cut dry and weak branches every year. The resulting wounds can be traditionally covered with garden pitch.
